Join us for the 2026 National Organization for Human Services Conference, where educators, practitioners, students, and leaders from across the country come together to engage with the realities shaping the field today.We are thrilled to announce that this year's conference will take place from November 6th to 8th, 2026, at the exquisite DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront in the vibrant city of Jacksonville, Florida.
This year’s theme, Meeting the Moment: Intentional Practice in Complex Times, centers the importance of thoughtful, grounded decision-making in moments marked by division, strain, and uncertainty. The conference will explore how intentional practice—across direct service, education, supervision, leadership, and systems-level work—can support meaningful impact even when the path forward is not simple or unanimous.

Updates from the Council for Standards in Human Services Education: Mastering the Self-Study Process and Becoming a Self-Study Reader (pre-conference workshop panel discussion): Join us for an interactive session on a comprehensive guide to CSHSE self-study process for programmatic accreditation, including the latest updates from the Council. Attendees will discover how to become a self-study reader and participate in an interactive dialogue on why national accreditation is vital in today’s landscape. the presentation will conclude with a dedicated Q&A session.

Human at the Center: Practical AI Tools for Everyday Practice by Debra Harper-LeBlanc: Frontline professionals are increasingly faced with growing administrative responsibilities alongside the diverse needs of their clients. This practical workshop aims to demonstrate how artificial intelligence (AI) tools can effectively assist with tasks such as documentation, creating client education materials, and coordinating resources – all while maintaining empathy and professional judgement. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises to explore suitable use cases for AI and establish clear boundaries regarding its implementation. By the end of the session, attendees will gain valuable insights into leveraging AI tools to enhance their professional practice without compromising the essential human element inherent in client care.
