Join us for the 2025 National Organization for Human Services Conference, where we come together to explore how compassionate action drives meaningful change in individuals, communities, and the human services field. We are thrilled to announce that this year's conference will take place from November 7th to 9th, 2025, at the exquisite Embassy Suites in the vibrant city of Charlotte, North Carolina.

This year’s theme, Empowering Change Through Compassionate Action, highlights the transformative power of empathy, advocacy, and purpose-driven work in addressing the complex challenges we face today. Through engaging workshops, dynamic keynote speakers, and networking opportunities, attendees will gain practical tools and inspiration to foster positive, sustainable change.

The conference will feature keynote speakers from across the professional landscape, interactive panels for participants, and conversations on the future of human services. The 2025 National Conference is set to line up thoughtful leaders and powerful content for your professional needs. Workshop Option 1: (9:00 am - 5:00 pm; cost is associated with taking this workshop)

Mental Health First Aid for Military, Veterans, and their Families by Dr. Braxton Morrison: Join our evidence-based early intervention training program, Mental Health First Aid for Military, Veterans, and their Families. This course equips participants with essential skills to assist individuals in the military community facing mental health or substance use challenges. It covers relevant mental health topics, military-specific risk factors, and strategies to break down stigma. Participants learn the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) and gain access to national, regional, and community mental health resources. Recommended for service members, veterans, military families, and anyone supporting this community. Topics include assessing suicide risk, active listening, providing reassurance, encouraging professional help, and promoting self-help strategies.


Workshop Option 2: (10:00 am - 12:00 pm panel discussion)

Experience CSHSE Accreditation: A Panel about the Benefits & Process: Join us for a panel featuring speakers from newly accredited CSHSE programs, moderated by CSHSE Board Members. Get insights on the accreditation process, self-study writing, site visit planning, curriculum enhancement, and more.


Workshop Option 3: (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm; cost is associated with taking this workshop)

Advancing Human Services with AI: A Hands-On Workshop with ChatGPT by Jason Witt: This 3-hour advanced workshop dives deep into practical applications of ChatGPT in human services. We will cover the basics briefly before moving into hands-on activities and advanced techniques. Participants will explore real-world scenarios and gain practical experience, making AI a valuable tool in their work.

**Ambassador Program**


Are you willing to help a group of students attend the conference virtually? This offer is exclusive to students and does not include in-person attendance. By becoming an Ambassador for $500.00, you can enable 10 students to attend the conference virtually.


As an Ambassador, you will be purchasing 10 registrations for students. You (the ambassador) will pay for the registrations on the NOHS website. Once you pay for the Ambassador registration type, you will receive a unique discount code via email. You can give this code to the students you have identified in your group. We will ask you to send an excel spreadsheet with their name and email to verify their registration with your specific code. Please note that this offer is only valid for 10 students, and numerous changes will be allowed.
