This workshop is designed for human service workers and clinical professionals seeking to improve their skills in supporting individuals and families during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Participants will gain practical insights and tools to better serve this population.

Key Focus Areas: Symptom Recognition: Learn to identify key symptoms and behaviors that may indicate perinatal mental health concerns. Assessment and Referral: Understand the next steps in assessing clients and making appropriate referrals. Cultural Competence: Explore cultural considerations in perinatal care to provide more inclusive and effective support. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Examine examples of successful multi-disciplinary interactions in perinatal care. Client Perspectives: Gain insights through point-of-view statements from perinatal clients. Practical Application: Analyze a detailed case review to apply learned concepts.
